The story revolves around a man who takes an employment exam for a company and ends up waking up next to a dead body. From here, the nightmare has just begun as his life begins to collapse in front of his very own eyes. The running theme in many of Abe’s works of alienation and society’s role in this, are explored and displayed effectively.

Ying as she navigates the complexity of identity and faith while struggling to answer the
question everybody is asking, ‘Kenapa Tak Tukar Nama?’. In this thought-provoking and hilarious 30-minute monologue performance by Yiky Chew, she plays six different characters, each with their own take on this matter. This playlet is inspired and then devised based on real-life experience of a convert in getting her new Malaysian identity card.

Synopsis: Based on a book of the same title, No Cover Up is a documentary-drama theatre piece about the Batang Kali Massacre happened in 1948, Malaya during the Malayan Emergency. The entire script structure will be presented in two parallel lines, where one would describe the painful experiences suffered by the widows and family members of the massacre victims by the use of human-sized puppets. Whilst another would outline the Queks’ courage to assist in upholding justice for them. One line corresponds with the other in attempting to restore the history and pointing out the ferociousness and inhumanity of the British colonial government.
